I don't think this show goes in a literal day by day basis. That would mean Monday they fought Beerus, Tuesday Freezer, Wednesday trained, Thursday had the tournament, and so on. I think its been the amount of time Kaio said it would take and Son Gokuh took the very first opportunity to train. Unless Monaka stayed on Earth for an extended period of time, it can't have been very long. If it's been, say, a week since Monaka left, you'd think that Chi-Chi and Bulma would've noticed sooner.
